Each yoga teacher training has something special to offer. An important part of selecting the right training for you is choosing one that aligns with the way you strive to live your life and that focuses on the parts of yoga practice that are inspiring to you personally.
This commitment is intended for those who feel called to teach or to deepen their understanding of yoga practice and can be accomplished within a variety of total immersion programs as well as an 10 month weekend immersion program. Our program is open to anyone who is passionate or inquisitive about yoga and is available to all adult ages, levels of practice and bodies.
All students of this program will finish the program with an understanding and experience of what it means to live your yoga.
The program starts with a strong foundation in the 8 limbs of yoga , basic and functional anatomy, and dissecting the different physical postures. This learning will also include how yoga can affect chronic injuries and what techniques and tools are available as a teacher to help those who have ailments. Subsequently, other subjects include Sequencing, Theming, Energy and how yoga principles can be practically and spiritually applied to all aspects of daily life.
Our program will show you how to teach a mindful and safe class, invite you to further your understanding and share your passion through group discussions on yogic philosophy and help you progress in your own practice. At the end of the program, you should be able to teach yoga safely, confidently, and engage others in your passion for yoga.
This is going to be an amazing experience! We will meet 1 weekend per month (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)from March to August 2021 for a total of 162 Hours with an additional 6.5hours each month of livestream/online component (38 Hours Total).
However Please do not underestimate the physical, mental and emotional requirements of the program. Each of the 6 weekends are full on and we highly recommended that anybody taking this program should not create any obligations for themselves during the days/evening this training takes place. We created this program format so that students could obtain this certification with only having to take a reasonable amount of time off, could simmer into the learning experience without any pressure and also to take time to practice what they learn.
We also ask all trainees to come to this program from a conscious and stable place of mental and emotional wellbeing. This course will teach you to gain awareness through the process of looking at yourself and the world around you through a variety of lenses, sometimes in a way that your used to and sometimes in a way that you might be uncomfortably unfamiliar with. Everything you learn in this course will be part of a tool belt of awareness rather than a concrete list of right or wrong rules.
Trainees should have a regular daily or weekly yoga practice for at least 6 months prior to taking this course.
We will host a Maximum of 9 people for this training and need a Minimum of 4 people to run it!
The programs are led by Senior Yoga Instructor E-RYT 500 Kelly Carlson and Stephen Raaflaub E-RYT 200
